UPDATE #2: The album release has been pushed back yet again to April.
UPDATE (10/16/08): Decyfer Down’s upcoming album, Crash, originally slated for a release of September 16, will be released on March 3, 2009…
After Decyfer Down hit the music scene and took the Christian Rock genre by storm with their debut release, End of Grey, they announced the release of their sophomore album, entitled Crash. End of Grey was, in my mind, an instant favorite, and I was prepared to be disappointed by Crash because there was surely no way they could improve on their first CD (End of Grey really is that good). However, I now only find myself disappointed that the original release date for Crash was delayed from its original September 16 date to “early 2009,” according to DD’s website. In the meantime, they went ahead and released the Crash EP, and I must say that the title track is in my opinion as good or better than anything on End of Grey. Talk about a pleasant surprise. And what makes it better is that the other two tracks on the EP, “Best I Can” and “Now I’m Alive,” are almost as good. All I can say is that if the Crash album is half as good as the songs from the EP, especially “Crash” and “Best I Can,” Decyfer Down should not have a problem with sales of the fortcoming CD.
